Core Values

Study abroad education changes lives and the career prospects of those who travel overseas to benefit from an English Language Education. It is a fantastic experience for the student if all goes well.

In theory it is a lucrative business, with a pre-Covid-19 estimated annual export value of GBP 20 Billion to the UK and USD 42 billion for the US. It is no wonder that many individuals enter the consultancy market hoping to profit from the numerous families looking for advice to place their children in schools or universities overseas.

However, poor advice and services offered by unqualified education consultants might result in young people enrolling in schools and institutions that are unsuited to their needs and expectations. Some put up with being unhappy, whereas others leave and cause financial losses to the educational establishments who are left with unfilled places and, in the UK, statistics which risk their government sponsorship status. This fuels lack of trust in the industry and damages the reputation of many hard-working education consultants, as well as the overseas education market in general.

BPPEC is a Not-for-Profit Organisation (NPO) that aims to promote the industry’s best practice and set gold standards. BPPEC will do so by providing qualifications and recognition for education consultants.
